2021 New Practitioner Award

The New Practitioner Award recognizes a member early in their career who has made a notable contribution to developing or supporting clinical hematology/oncology pharmacy services.

Justin Arnall is a clinical pharmacist in Hematology, malignant and non-malignant, at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC.  He completed his pharmacy education at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2014, and then PGY1 acute care and PGY2 oncology residencies at Wake Forest Baptist Health before coming to Atrium Health in 2016.  During his time at Atrium he has worked as a member of the LCI malignant hematology and bone marrow transplantation pharmacy team and then more recently within the Atrium Health Specialty Pharmacy Service as the clinical coordinator for the bleeding disorders and hematology service line as well as the rounding pharmacist on the hematology consult team.  He has a number of publications and presentations on malignant and non-malignant conditions, pharmacy practice, and supportive care.  He is an active member of HOPA, ASTCT, and ACCP, a preceptor for PGY1 and PGY2 residents as well as 3 schools of pharmacy.  Areas of interest include bleeding disorders, thrombocytopenic conditions, multiple myeloma, stem cell transplantation, pharmacogenomics applied to cancer, and innovative pharmacy practice models.
