Julianne Orr, PharmD, BCOP

2019 HOPA Oncology Pharmacy Practice Literature Award

The award recognizes an author who has written an article, other than scientific research, that contributes significantly to the betterment of the hematology/oncology pharmacy profession and describes innovations in community, hospital, or healthcare system hematology/oncology pharmacy practices.

Julianne is originally from Rock Hill, South Carolina and obtained her doctorate of pharmacy from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in May 2014. After graduation, she went on to complete her PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at the Greenville Health System in Greenville, SC. Julianne continued her training with a PGY2 oncology pharmacy residency at Augusta University Medical Center and the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in Augusta, Georgia. Currently, Julianne is an outpatient oncology clinical pharmacist at Indiana University Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her primary focus is the management of patients receiving oral chemotherapy and bridging the gap between the oncology clinic and the specialty pharmacy. During her free time outside of the cancer center, Julianne enjoys watching SEC football (Go Gamecocks!), trying new restaurants, and traveling to visit family and friends.
