Kathy Hogan Edwards is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Hollings Cancer Center and an Adjunct Associate Professor in the College of Pharmacy at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is a board-certified Oncology Pharmacist and Pharmacotherapy Specialist. After receiving her BS Pharmacy degree from the University of Rhode Island she completed her Doctor of Pharmacy and Clinical Residency at MUSC. She has trained numerous students and residents and served as Residency Program Director for the PGY2 Oncology Residency. She has provided direct care for oncology patients for over 30 years, focused primarily in the BMT/malignant hematology/cellular therapy clinics. Her research and advocacy efforts are focused on optimizing supportive care and clinical outcomes with an emphasis on safety and financial stewardship. Kathy has served HOPA through numerous presentations, research, and committee service activities and in 2020 she was honored with the HOPA Patient Advocacy Award. HOPA has been and continues to be an important source of her personal and professional inspiration and motivation.
