Anne McDonnell is an Ambulatory Medication Safety Pharmacist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. McDonnell worked as an oncology clinical specialist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts for more than twelve years before transitioning to ambulatory medication safety in February 2019 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a Master of Business Administration from University of Louisiana Shreveport. Dr. McDonnell completed her pharmacy practice residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and her oncology pharmacy practice residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Anne has been a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist since 2006. She is also a Certified Professional in Patient Safety.

Anne has been active with HOPA since 2006, through poster presentations, speaking engagements, committee memberships and task force involvement. She has authored several articles related to oncology pharmacy and she has spoken nationally on many oncology pharmacy topics.
