Amber received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy (COP), completed PGY1 residency at MCG Health in Augusta, GA, and then completed a PGY2 Oncology residency at the University of North Carolina (UNC Hospitals and Clinics) in Chapel Hill, NC. She currently holds rank of Professor at the University of Georgia COP. Since residency, Dr Clemmons has served in her practice site as a clinical specialist for the adult bone marrow transplant/malignant hematology team at the Augusta University (AU) Medical Center. In addition to volunteering for various HOPA committees, she has been an active member of the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT) Pharmacy Special Interest Group, ASHP, GSHP, and the Georgia Cancer Center. Dr. Clemmons has received the ASTCT Pharmacy SIG New Practitioner Award (2014), GSHP Young Health-System Pharmacy Practitioner Award (2014), UGA COP Teacher of the Year Award (2016), and HOPA New Practitioner Award (2017). Dr. Clemmons serves as the RPD for the UGA/AU Medical Center PGY2 Oncology residency since 2017.
