Shannon Hough Pharm.D., BCOP
Shannon Hough, PharmD, BCOP is the Director of ClinReview and Clinical Content at the McKesson, supporting The US Oncology Network and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Hough received her PharmD from University of Michigan and completed her residency training in Pharmacy Practice at Harper University Hospital (Detroit Medical Center) and Oncology at the University of Michigan. Following residency, she joined Michigan Medicine as an inpatient oncology specialist in 2012, where she served as the inaugural oncology team lead, and member of the NCCN Myeloid Growth Factors panel. In 2014, she transitioned to an ambulatory role to develop and grow ambulatory oncology services at Michigan Medicine, leading to the creation of pharmacist-embedded clinics across all specialties, sites, in adult and pediatric patients. In 2018, inpatient and ambulatory oncology services were aligned under her leadership. In late 2020, Dr. Hough joined McKesson, where she contributes and leads within clinical content development for practices within The US Oncology Network and directs the ClinReview program, which offers practices access to a remote oncology-trained clinical pharmacist.
Dr. Hough’s research and practice interests focus on lung cancer, quality and value of care, new and emerging roles for oncology pharmacists, and use of technology in clinical practice.
