LeAnn B. Norris currently serves as a Medical Science Liaison for AstraZeneca. After earning her PharmD from the University of South Carolina, she completed her PGY-1 at Cone Health and PGY-2 in Oncology at Cone Health’s Regional Cancer Center in Greensboro, NC. From 2006-2019, she was a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in Columbia, SC. During her time there, she practiced as the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the WJB Dorn VA Hospital outpatient chemotherapy clinic. She was also a founding member of the hospital’s Palliative Care team as the clinical pharmacy specialist. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Norris taught courses in oncology pharmacotherapy, pain management, and coordinated an elective course in medication safety management. She has multiple book chapters/publications and has been an invited speaker at local, regional, national, and international pharmacy meetings. In 2010, she was the recipient of HOPA’s New Practitioner Award and served on HOPA’s Board of Director’s from 2017 – 2020.
